Doon GAA Club is an integral part of community life in the parishes of Doon and Oola. Together with our sister club Oola GAA, we provide active and positive involvement for all our members and supporters. In return we get fantastic support by way of volunteerism, attendance at our games and most of all financial support. We value this support and thank all those who in any way contribute to our club.

 In 2012 Doon GAA club fielded the following teams;

Our facilities are also available free of charge to our local primary and secondary schools for training and playing matches. With your support we have provided excellent facilities at Toher Road, and recent years we have invested over of €100,000 on a ball alley, solar panels, field drainage, floodlights, new fencing and other minor improvements.

To complete these repayments and to help towards the upkeep and maintenance of these facilities,

 We are currently organising the  “Monster Sale of Work & Family Fun Day” which will take place on Sunday October 28th in Doon at 2pm. The day will be a fundraiser and a family day out for young and old with an auction, stalls, wheel of fortune, kids entertainment, refreshments and much more.

 All supporters and members are asked to assist this venture in any way possible by;

  • Donating items for sale (old or new), including Furniture, Household Items, Food, Vegetables, Gardening, DIY, Toys, Gaa Gear, and Electrics.
  • Making /crafting/painting/or baking items for sale
  • Identifying businesses or persons with Doon connections and giving their names to a committee member
  • You can also help by volunteering to assist in any way, so contact any Officer of the Club if you are available to help.

A collection location at the old Butchers shop beside Moore’s Pub will be setup from 13th October.

We also have Timber available for delivery from now until the Sale, please contact 087-9387755 or any club member to order.

We recognise that times are difficult financially for everybody, but we know by working together we can overcome these problems:

Remember in a sale of work no item is too big or too small

Thanking you for your support
