Pairc na nGael was the venue, and Ahane were the opponents for Doon’s second game of the Premier U21 County Championship last night. With neither side seriously dominating the first 30 minutes, it was a fair 8 points a-piece at half time. The second half saw three goals; the first was Ahane’s just 3 minutes in, but Darragh O’Donovoan hit the net with a penalty 8 minutes later and Dean Coleman’s last minute goal was the most important for us securing victory. Ahane had dominated much of the second half, and corner forward Coleman had to go for the goal at the end as we were down by 2. His chance paid off and the victory went to Doon by a single point – 2-14 to 1-16.
