Premier Minor Championship - Doon v Bruff

The final score of 2-12 to 0-7 makes this game sound like a fairly easy win for Doon, but it was a hard-fought battle when we overcame Bruff in their home ground in the Premier Minor County Championship last night. Bruff put up a great fight and had plenty of possession throughout the game but we were more on target and two opportune goals – one in each half – sealed the win for us. Darragh O’Donovan stepped up to the mark with a number of frees and corner forward Barry Murphy had a few great points from play.  This is a great minor team who are always improving under the leadership of their manager Denis Barry and his selectors. Having now beaten all of our opponents in Group 1 (Na Piarsaigh, Adare, Bruff, Na Fianna and Kildimo Pallaskenry), we head straight to a County Semi Final in early September.
