Please see below a very interesting workshop.  This would be an excellent course for anyone involved in Doon Juvenile and Nursery programme to attend.

This coming Saturday, June 30th starting at 12noon at the new GAA 4G grass pitch at the University of Limerick, former National Hurling Development administrator and father of hurling coaching, Paudie Butler will deliver a practical based hurling workshop for the benefit of coaches in the topic of From the beginning - creating a hurling nursery.

This coaching workshop will focus specifically on coaching the young hurler from 6 to 8 years of age and will be ideally suited to coaches working with children of this age group. The day will provide the coaches with a chance to view how to structure a session and will more importantly provide coaches with new ideas on how to create and develop a hurling nursery in your club. We all know that getting the best possible start in anything in life is half the battle and with hurling it is no different. Paudie will also be available after the session to chat to coaches and to answer any questions or queries that coaches may have on how to further develop their clubs nursery.

This workshop will be provided free of charge and will be concluded by 2pm. I ask that each club make an extra special effort to get club coaches working at this age group to attend on the day, our aim is that each club will be represented on the day.
