East Junior A Championship

Yet another meeting with Kilteely Dromkeen faced our Junior A team last Sunday – that the final of the East Championship. We had met them at the same stage in the East League earlier this year and it had taken extra time to separate us, ultimately ending in a win for Kilteely Dromkeen. Last Sunday’s encounter, however, didn’t require those extra minutes as we were beaten 0-13 to 0-9. The lead was exchanged a number of times throughout the game and the win could have gone to either side until very late into the second half when Kilteely Dromkeen pushed ahead by ahead by 2, then 3, then 4 points and while we got the ball into our forwards a number of times in the dying minutes, that much-needed goal eluded us. We are set to play the winners of the City Division in our county quarter final in a few weeks’ time.
