Congratulations to our Junior B team who have reached the County Championship Final. In our semifinal replay with Feohanagh Castlemahon last Saturday afternoon in Kilbreedy we worked hard to be victorious in the end on a 4-10 to 2-10 scoreline. We had a great start and were up 1-2 to 0-1 in the first ten minutes with Feohanagh Castlemahon failing to point a number of frees in those first crucial minutes. We were to get two more goals ahead of the break thanks to Seamie Ryan and Rob McLoughlin meaning we had a seriously comfortable lead of 3-4 to 0-6 at the 30 minute mark. Paddy Coleman and Shane McKenna were our sole scorers of the second half with a goal from Shane just 4 minutes in and 6 accurately pointed frees from Coleman. Relaxing slightly too much mid-way through the second half we conceded two goals and at a few stages there was only 4 points in it. We were never sure of the win, as our opponents battled hard in the last ten minutes to catch up, but they didn’t make it and we ran out winners 4-10 to 2-10. We await the County Final fixture where we face Templeglantine.
